This course provides business students with a working knowledge on Information Systems: the role of IS in modern business organization, its components, major business applications. The course introduces both managerial and technical aspects of Information Systems. The course will highlight the contribution of IS in gaining competitive advantage for business. It surveys hardware, software, and telecommunication using in Information Systems. Hands-on practices will expose students to the development of simple databases, decision support systems using Microsoft Access, Excel.
